Default November International Bookwormers Thread

Good afternoon fellow wormers

It's lovely to be here starting the November thread Sorry it's a bit late, I'm at my parents again as Mum still recovering from her hip replacement.

Just finished "Things I want my daughters to know" by Elizabeth Noble, very good but very poignant, I cried as the C word is prevelant but it's a lovely book, highly recommended.

Will now start "Journeys End" the 2nd Josephine Cox book from the one I read the other week, think I've read about 40 books this year so far!! Wonderful!

As I've had no takers for the books I listed, some lucky wormers may well receive a book in the next week or two...., don't want them to go to waste without being circulated around our special readers.

Happy reading girls, enjoy!

Love Wendy Wiz - Librarian

Ooh, I'm the first wormer to report in to our lovely librarian

Lil, I finished Missing by Susan Lewis last night on the swing chair while dh was cooking tea on the BBQ and I cried and cried whilst reading Jacqueline wrote to her daughter. Dh just couldn't believe his eyes ( he is a non-wormer ). He even came and gave me a hug he was so bemused. ( he even said 'it's just a book princess' ).

So thank you so much for that book lovely Lil, - I havn't hear of Susan Lewis before and was pleased to note how many other novels she has written. Hmm, feel a visit to bookpost.com coming on. I used to ring them but once got a chappy whose brother lived here and he was very conversational and that order cost rather a lot counting the phone call cost . I am more confident ordering online with my new computer too.

Happy November reading everyone.

Love Leanne

p.s. Hope your Mum is improving all the time Wendy, please give her my best wishes.

Well wormers, I've not written down every title but think I will next year, just to be a total book nerd!!

Leanne, I cry at books all the time....Guy thinks I'm odd

My Mum is doing very well, thanks for asking.

Lil

I've also just bought the new Jeffrey Archer book (although it's at the bottom of a very large pile of un-read books)
I LOVE Kane & Abel, but my most fave book ever (and i'm actually re-reading it at the moment) is As the crow flies!!
I also like Harlan Coben, and have his new book in my unread pile

I've just finished 'The book thief' which my mum has whipped away.
I enjoyed it, it was very different to the sort of book I usually read!
