Default Working From Home

I know Judy works from home Does anyone else? And what do you do?
It's something I've been thinking about for a while now but I dont' know where to start. I'm pretty good with the computer, quite educated, and fairly flexible. I dont' want to stuff envelopes

My previous lines of work have been in care and libraries. Neither jobs offer homework so no good my asking them.

Any ideas anyone?

I work from home but its my own business with a friend. We work as parent group leaders teaching groups of parents The Nurturing Programme.

Our classes are not actually held at home but the rest of the prep is done at home (well, Costa Coffee actually but you get what I mean)

I had my own web based business a few years ago and I think unless you work for your self work from home opportunities are few and far between.

Hi Nicola, is that a franchise? I've looked at franchises but the start up fees are usually above my means.
I've also tried Avon, Betterware and Kleeneze but never did very well.

Hi Anne,

Have a look at this:

http://www.targetwoman.com/articles/...ping-jobs.html

http://jobs.trovit.co.uk/jobs/work-f...ping-documents

My sister in law knows someone who types up legal docs at home for extra money on the side. I don't know where she gets the work from or how much she makes but it might be worth looking into if you can type well.

I googled and found the links I have pasted but you could google some more and see what comes up.

Just do not pay anyone up front in respect of anything like this as this type of request could indicate a scam!

What about a bit of freelance writing? Your blog is brilliantly well written and I enjoy reading it, so could you not contact a few mags etc and see if you could be paid to submit articles?

Love

Hi Anne,

If your good with computers how about setting up your own business doing typing and admin work for other people? All you need is a bit of advertising and a simple website.

No, its not a franchise but I did have to undertake their training course to license me to present it. There are no ongoing franchise fees to pay tho.

The training is done by a charity and they are really supportive of the work you do and offer lots of ongoing assistance to get the course "out there". This is available at no charge - its part of the work of the charity.
