Hi Pam,

Daniel has Ready Brek, but I add a little pot of fromage frais to it when it's ready, this makes it more creamy and also gives it a bit of a fruity flavour.
He loves it and just wolfs it all down!

I pay £2 for a huge 750g box, which lasts a month at least!

Worth a try ?

Sharon.

Hi Pam,

Is it made from oats or rice? If it's rice you can buy flaked rice from most supermarkets and make it up with either milk or water and it is generally just like porrige. If it's oats then you can also buy fine milled oats from most bigger supermarkets, and again, make it up with milk or water. A lot of these "baby" versions can be bought from the normal departments without the baby label for a fraction of the price!

HTH,

Jenny

(I used milled quinoa with Milly, we wanted to avoid all gluten because of my intolerance, so I made porrige with this, she loved it, especially with a dollop of pureed fruit in it, dried apricot was her favourite.)

We use readybrek too ... I was amazed at how much we were spending on baby porridge and since we swapped Al has been perfectly happy, especially if we mix fresh fruit in. Bought baby food is such a rip off!

Hi Pam,

Sam also had readybrek last winter and loved it. This year he has ordinary oats with half a banana mashed in and he loves it too. Scoffs the lot every morning these days!!!
