Default Awful PMS!!

Hi All

I know I've posted before about PMS but really would value some help. This month is bad. Yesterday I had a rant with my dd followed by lots of tears!! Last month it was dp's turn..They fortunately understand it's not the 'normal' me but I'm actually finding PMS totally debilitating. I feel 'normal for about 5 days a month the rest of the time is either cramping/ovulation pains/mood swings/insomnia.

My GP hasn't been much use, just suggested the pill, I've tried all the natural remedies, EPA, Agnus Castus but nothing seems to work for a prolonged period of time. I'm pretty good with my diet - try to eat regularly but it doesn't seem to have an impact.
I'm going back to my GP but what should I be asking for? Is it blood tests? If so what types of tests? I was chatting to a friend who had the insomnia and this was linked to early menopause, could this be happening to me? It has definitely got worse since having the last 4 pg's. I'm also considering reflexology for hormonal imbalance but just wondered if anyone has tried this?

Help!!

(((hugs))) to you

I've been there and I know how bad it can be. The trouble was I was suffering from PMS for 20 days or more. DH threaten to leave me unless I got help.

Go to the doctor and tell them you don't want the pill but you want them to find out why it is so bad, the only blood tests that are done are the ones to check if you are in the Menopause which are done about day 7. To be honest they not that helpful unless like me you are

I have to say I am on HRT, a path I said I would never go down and I've had one day where the PMS was bad and AF came the next day. Even then it was bearable and I wasn't screaming at everyone, also I don't feel out of sorts which I felt for months

No one should suffer this and even if it's not the menopause you should be able to get some to help, there are things they can do. A friend of mine had her vists from AF stopped for three months with an implant and it helped no end
