Default Waiting to test.

When would you use a pregnancy test.
Just wondered what you all thought about pregnancy testing & how long you would wait before doing a test.

if it was me now i would wait for at least two weeks now after af is due but have voted 7 to 9 days

as my cycles tended to go longer rather than shorter, however if your fairly regular i would test say 4 or 5 days late, if your ttc and yes ive been there although we shouldn't ive bought the early testing kits and tested any time from cd24

i guess what im trying to say is it all depends on your cycles, ive spent fortunes on hpt's in the year after ali was born for af to then arrive within 2 or 3 days lol ive even had af arrive the evening ive tested,

i put it down to my age now one of the reasons i never considered being pregnant last time. because af has been so late and so short.,

see i was no help at all

I voted 10 plus days because I waited 8 weeks to test when I was pregnant with Sam. I put off testing because I sort of thought that if I didn't test and then I got bleeding I would just tell myself it was a late or missed period (just an odd thing to happen). Whereas if I tested and got a BFP and then I started bleeding I'd know for sure I'd lost a baby, making it a miscarriage, which would be a really sad thing I would feel upset about. Also I knew if I tested and got a BFP I'd tell DP straight away and then if I miscarried he'd be upset, but if I didn't test and miscarried then he and I would never have "got our hopes up" only to have then dashed. I guess this makes me sound a bit nuts but hey ho, it's what I did.

I voted before I missed as I have done in the past, as I would have to be on heparin injections asap to help minimise a m/c

Hi

I voted 1 to 2 days late because when it comes down to it I just have to know one way or the other - it drives me mad wondering.

I voted 1-2 days late because that's what I did last month. I got a BFN and my period came on the 2nd day but I really needed to know. I'd convinced myself I was pregnant as it's so rare for my period to be late!

3 or 4 days for me (not that I've been late for ages )

Any reason for this particular question Julie? ()

Hi Gals,
Reason for this thread is that my AF is Late, not sure whether to test or not, because of my age. Trying to convinvce myself to test. Now on CD 34.

I was 8 weeks late once and then went back to normal!
