We always agreed that we wouldn't try for children after I was 40, and I just managed to squeeze James out 5 weeks before I hit the big 40!!!! However, would I have given up ttc if I had still been childless at 40? I doubt it.
I don't want another baby now, I think I would just be too tired with 3, but I might have felt like that if I was 10 years younger as well.
I think where I stand on this one is that IVF should only be given to people who are unable to conceive naturally when other people their age are able to do so. Therefore, seeing as the age for menopause averages at about 50, that does seem a good cut off age.
