Ruth - keeping my fingers crossed for you with the move.

Liz - what an ungrateful MIL she sounds. Her bit of the house sounds great, but I'm wondering (like Ruth) if maybe she's feeling "pushed out" as it were as she'll be separate from you. However, I do think you are making the right decision. However well you get on (if you do that is!!) you, as a family, need your own space.
