Report In the last 20 years, Quebec has seen a big increase in older mothers

During the last two decades, there has been a marked drop in the number of births in the younger age categories and a decided bump in the number births for women between the ages of 30 and 44.

Quebec women 20 to 24 years old had 20,445 babies in 1989, according to Statistics Canada. This dropped to 12,688 in 2009.
