Default Weekly chat - 26th June

Hi there,

I had a lovely day off work yesterday so a day late starting this.

I recently joined a gym to try and get fitter and hopefully loose some weight as well. Yesterday I went to the gym in the morning and then walked round the lake (4.5 miles), so was quite exhausted by the end of the day

Just starting to sort out DS8's activities for the summer holidays - a necessary evil due to work - and its getting complicated already.

Have left DS19 with a list of chores to do - lets see how he gets on.

Hi there

oooooooooh SB, scones are my favourite (with jam and cream of course!) - pity you can't pass a few through the ipad!!

Alexandra - yes, I'm also sorting out my holiday childcare just now. Fun isn't it?

It was our wedding anniversary on Sunday, but we had the school fair and being on the PTA means I have to be on a stall so..... at least I won a prize in the raffle. Instead we celebrated on Saturday when Rhianna was at an all day Brownie event. We went out for a really lovely meal, but couldn't get tickets to the theatre for the show we wanted. Instead we're going in two week's time to see Singing in the Rain.

Work yesterday and today, but my day off tomorrow. Looks like it's going to be hot, too hot to do any work in the house in fact so I think I might just sit and watch the tennis instead!

Evening girls

Had a lovely few days
It's Poppy's birthday today. She ended up having 2 parties, one on Friday and one on Saturday (don't ask), then we had friends round Saturday eve, and the parents round Sunday for a roast.
She had school today, so we just went to McD's for tea with her little friend
She got some lovely pressies too, she's a very lucky girl

Sports day tomorrow, and i'm working the evening instead of daytime (a guy wanted to watch the footie and talked me into it in a soft moment)

Lisa xx

Lisa, You do make me smile, Poppy is such a sociable party loving girl - just like her Mum

I think after all that celebrating a McDs after school was just right.

Now I have a decision to make and want some help.

As mentioned I have joined a gym, I tend to go at 06:00 as I can do an hours work out, have a shower, then be home to get DS8 up and ready for school (either his Dad or big brother are at home with him I dont leave him home alone). They are starting a Fit camp at the gym next week which is EVERY morning for an hour at 06:00 doing a different activity each day. The camp lasts for 4 weeks. It costs £100 so works out at £5 a day. I think I would get a major benefit from it but am not sure I am up to it just yet. Oh dear decisions decisions.

Anyway at work as usual today.

PS: I love scones too - probably one of the reasons I so need to lose weight !

Alexandra, the fit club sounds good, I would say go for it, if it is a well run class the instructor will be able to support people of all levels of fitness and abilities, you should never feel pressurised to do more than you can.

Cream tea scones are very nice, why does there have to be so many calories in clotted cream.
