Breastfeeding may protect older mums

Breastfeeding can reduce the risk of breast cancer in women who delay childbirth, researchers in the United States said yesterday.

Women who have children at an older age face an increased danger of developing breast cancer. But a new study, unveiled at the American Association for Cancer Research conference in Los Angeles, has found that this risk may be reduced if older mothers breastfeed their children.
