Hi Sharon
I wouldnt worry, although Masons nursery has an excellent pre school class in the last year hes learning already by things i do at home.
Such as when hes getting in the bath I just say one, two three and he repeats it now even at 18months. When I take him to bed I count the stairs as I go up and hes started doing that as well.
Our infant teacher told us that at such an early age kids learn by just repeating stuff, so if you talk to him plenty and show him pictures of things he can repeat to you what they are then thats enough.
I think we worry so much but in the end children are so inquisitive they learn a lot themselves.
Love pamx
