Potties
I am thinking that Sam will soon be ready to start potty training, as he has started to ask "where are my pants?" when we put his nappy on and occasionally says "my want to wee wee on the potty" (both no doubt due to having seen his peers at nursery starting to potty train). We do have a potty DPs sister gave us ages ago, but on the odd occasion Sam has sat on it, it has seemed tiny (his willy hangs over the edge, even if he sits on it the wrong way round, so the higher bit is at the front). I had a look in Mothercare but all the potties on display seem just as small, even the ones that have arms and a back and are built in a little seat. Also, the things that go over the toilet bowl to make a smaller seat so the child doesn't fall through, also seem too small. I suppose this is the price I pay for leaving it until he is nearly 3 and quite big... But does anyone know of a larger or more boy friendly design of potty available out there? I have booked 1-4 August as leave from work, with the intention of trying to make a start on potty training that week, so does anyone have any suggestions of a potty I could buy before then, or else any general boy potty training tips?
